    Starz gives Counterpart the axe
    Despite two highly acclaimed seasons for the premium cable network, the sci-fi espionage thriller Counterpart will not be getting a third season from Starz, according to The Hollywood Reporter .

    Fans of the Starz sci-fi spy drama Counterpart woke up to some bad news today, as series creator Justin Marks announced the premium cabler won't be picking the series up for season 3.     On Monday creator and executive producer Justin Marks first tweeted out news of his show's cancellation. Marks is hopeful studio MRC finds a new home for the series.
